Unsure about imaging, triage urgency or when to refer?
Our spine surgeons provide same-day advice to GPs and other health professionals via our support line for complex or urgent cases during business hours.
How do I make an appointment for my patient?
Your patient may make a regular appointment by phone or email. If an urgent appointment is required, please call (02) 9057 2450 and we will be happy to assist.
Do you see patients without private health insurance?
Yes. All of our Surgeons hold appointments at major teaching hospitals.
Compensable Patients
Within our team, we have doctors who accept compensable insurance patients, including Workers’ Compensation and CTP.
What imaging will my patient require?
The appropriate imaging depends on your patient's clinical presentation. As a general guide:

- Radiculopathy, myelopathy or other clinical evidence of neurologic impairment — MRI
- Scoliosis, kyphosis or other spinal deformity — EOS (specialised low-dose spinal radiographs available at selected radiology practices)
- Fracture — MRI and CT
- Tumour — MRI and CT
