Dr Kulkarni is a Sydney born and based Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon. He specialises in the treatment of adult and paediatric spinal disorders including deformity, tumour and trauma. He also treats all aspects of orthopaedic trauma in children and adults.
Dr Kulkarni obtained his medical degree from the University of New South Wales in 2007 and completed post graduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Australian Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2017.
He then undertook further fellowship training in Spinal Surgery in both Australia and Canada. His paediatric fellowship training was undertaken at Sydney Children’s Hospital (Randwick and Westmead Campuses) as well as The Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto. His adult fellowship training was in Canada at Toronto Western Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as well as at Westmead Adult’s Hospital in Sydney.
Dr Kulkarni is well versed in utilising the latest techniques in spinal navigation and minimally invasive surgery where appropriate. Most importantly he believes in patient centred care with a strong emphasis on utilising adjunctive treatment in addition to or instead of surgical management where practical.
When not consulting or operating, Dr Kulkarni spends his time with his three young children, loves cooking and playing the guitar.
